You've still got five reels and 20 lines here, but you'll notice the characters all look more frightening than they did in the original game. The wild this time is a coffin, but the top prize of 10,000 remains the same if you get five on a line. A werewolf is the scatter, but it won't award scatter prizes. It does award 10 free spins for three or more, though. And yes, those expanding wilds return here, too.

Our verdict: Which game do we prefer?

We would say the sequel is the better title, even though we know sequels are often a letdown. That's not the case here, because we think the second game is scarier and has more dramatic graphics than the first. The original is more along cartoonish lines.

Of course, the best way to see if you agree is to play both games to see what you think. And of course, there's a third Scary Rich game too… so if you get through the first two, you can look forward to bigger and better graphics for the third foray into this horrific world of frights and prizes!
