Three Takes on Retro Reels from Microgaming
Retro Reels is a series of slot games from Microgaming, with two sequels having followed the original release. But will these games be among your favorites, or will they leave you wanting to try something else?
Let's check out the possibilities here, by reviewing each one in turn.
Retro Reels

This is the classic, and while it has five reels, they are packed with the usual fruits and bar symbols. You can bet from one cent per line (there are 20 lines in play), and there are 440,000 coins to be won at most from your efforts.
The scatter says '5 free spins bonus' and two or more will award you five spins per icon. That means you can win from 10 to 25 of them. Double-value prizes are also in store in these spins. You also get the chance to make an additional bet to hit a respin button if you wish, to spin one reel again for a chance at a win.
Retro Reels: Diamond Glitz

Diamonds are introduced in this sequel to the original game, and the respin-reel feature pops up here as well. The game looks similar, and we get five reels and 25 lines here.
Diamonds appear multiple times across the different icons. The free spin bonus icon looks much the same, with five free spins awarded for each one. You do need to get at least three this time, though. Two scatters will still secure a scatter prize, however.
Retro Reels: Extreme Heat

Things are getting hot now, with the release of the third game in this collection. It looks familiar, except now many of the icons are on fire. You still have that respin option available, and the five-reel game has increased to 30 lines.
There is a Flaming Free Spins bonus, where at least three of these icons are required to award at least 10 free spins. You could win up to 20 for getting five of them. The game also provides you with a dollar sign that is used as a wild, helping you secure more wins with any luck.
Which slot game is the best one?
We liked all these games, since they are all similar, and they all offer prizes worth up to 440,000 coins in the free spins feature. If you like more lines, the third one is the best, but there isn't much between them.
